Godech Monastery "Holy Spirit"
The Godech monastery was founded at the beginning of the 19th century. It was built on the old foundations of two churches from the 15th century. The monastery is a small one but it has two churches. One of them - "Holy Spirit", was built in 1946. It is a one-apse small building with a bell tower above the entrance. The second church - "St. St Cyril and Methodius and their five disciples", built in 1950, is also a small one and quite modest. The monastery is functioning and is in a good state. Men's, Patron Saint's days on the Monday after Pentecost (movable) and 7 July.
Location
It is about 5 km to the west of the town of Godech and 18 km to the north-east of the town of Dragoman.
