Gela Monastery "The holy trinity"
The Gela monastery is located in the Western Rhodopes, in the village of Gela, Smolyan region. The year of its foundation is unknown. During the Ottoman rule it was destroyed and in 1926 - restored. At present it functions regularly. It is a complex including a church and a residential building.
Transport
The monastery is connected to the village of Shiroka Luka by a dirt road (6 km to the north), and from there - to Pamporovo (16 km) to the east and the town of Devin (16 km) to the north-west - by a third class road.
